My HONEST review of the 3 day Refresh

(For my video review-please scroll down to the bottom of the page)

So I was a skeptic of this 3 day refresh. I was unable to do it for a long time because I was nursing and not going to put my milk supply in jeopardy. We are still nursing, but only once or twice a day and mostly just for comfort - so I decided to give it a go. I bought this in EARLY JULY knowing that I would need it after Summit. And boy did I. Except I was too scared to try and kept putting it off. It wasn't until my friend and fellow coach Jamie Ciminello said let's do it together. So we did it this week. I'm not gonna lie. The 3 day refresh is hard and takes a lot of will power but if you are willing to put in the effort it's worth the results. Day 1 - Wasn't so bad - I was a little hangry before dinner but once I ate I was good to go. Day 2 - I was a mess. I had a headache all day. I was hangry all day. Obviously my body was in detox mode. Jay said I was walking around like a zombie. I was ready to throw in the towel and completely raid my pantry. Then I googled refresh blog posts and ALL of them said that Day 2 is the toughest and to stick it out. So I did. I had a hell of a time falling asleep that night because my tummy was growling. Day 3 - I woke up, despite having trouble falling asleep - COMPLETELY refreshed. I felt fantastic. I went on about my day like it was nothing. No cravings, feeling satisfied with my meals (again until dinner time - I think it's my fault for eating dinner too late). So, will I do the refresh again? Probably not anytime in the near future. My advice to you is if you are going to do this make sure on day 2 you don't have much human interaction, because you will be a cranky mess ! Otherwise Day 1 and Day 3 are fine. I definitely will reconsider it after a binge weekend though or a Holiday where I don't have much control over my meal plan I lost 3.6 pounds and 4.5 inches. 1.5" was off my waist, 1 inch off my chest (of course!), and an inch each off my thighs. My goal here was not necessarily to lose weight but to kill those cravings I've been having. I have NOT stuck to a meal plan since coming home from Summit. I go overboard on carbs everyday and my cravings were out of control. Even though I can eat anything I want to today, I didn't feel like raiding the pantry as soon as I woke up - and I'll take that as a win!! If you think the refresh might be something you are interested in, hit me up - I can go more into my experience with it you. Now it's time to hit up those intense workouts of 21 Day Fix Extreme and get my abs that I lost back !! :)
